JOANNE JANICKI
JOANNE'S COURSEWORK
HOMEPAGE
My chosen concentration in the MAED program at Michigan State University is the P-12 School and Postsecondary Leadership Concentration. This concentration has enhanced my educational and leadership skills while I continue working as a school Physical Therapist.
ED
The ED Concentration includes the core courses, ED 800 and ED 870. They are the introduction and the synthesis of my learning in the MAED program. The first class gave me a solid basis in theory and the capstone class gave me an opportunity to reflect and assess progress toward my goals.
CEP
The Special Education Concentration is designed for educators who want to know more about working with students with mild disabilities in K-12 schools. The classes I took in this concentration helped me better understand motivational and behavioral difficulties in students. I also found the psychology of learning useful when I do adult training.
